Below is one of the convoys at the harbor getting ready to board the ship to return to Oahu.



These vehicles are called Strykers from the Army 1st Battalion 27th Infantry - 25th ID.

Here I am cutting up fresh island fruit (starfruit, pineapple, and papaya) for the guys who
have been out in the field eating MREs for 3 weeks so they really appreciate it.

We also pass out water, Cokes, and whatever else we buy for them.


For some, it's the first time they've tried something like starfruit.  


This is the type of ship they load their equipment on - this is the 1/12 Artillery Battalion unloading at the harbor.  It's
interesting to note that this Army ship transports both Marine and Army equipment from island to island.
