After a long flight from Guam and Okinawa, Marines unload their gear from the plane to waiting trucks.

As usual, it's "hurry up and wait".

Here we are welcoming the troops leaving the airport for training at the 6,000' level.  There were so many they had to rent Polynesian Adventure Tour buses
but they won't be on any holiday.

As you can see, the Marines really appreciated all our efforts to welcome them to the Big Island.

There were 10 or 12 of us from about 8:00 am until 2:30 pm greeting the troops.

Another bus of Marines waving at us as we stand by the road.

This is the type of bus they normally ride in - almost 500 Marines in this contingent.
