It's an honor to go up and greet the Marines and welcome them to the Big Island with soft drinks, water, and snacks.
I went up expecting about 30 Marines, and there were 200!  Went through all my supplies very fast!
The Marines were very helpful in helping set up and keeping the drinks and ice replenished as they went through them
showing a lot of initiative without being asked.  After we ran out of drinks, I was able to photograph the LCAC and AAV's coming in and going out of port during
RIMPAC exercises as they retuned to the amphibious assault ship USS San Diego (LPD 22) after training with coalition forces on Hawaii’s largest island.

The Marines were very surprised the USO was there - and very appreciative of all of the soft drinks and water and chips I brought while they
enjoyed a little R & R.
